| What's the last known status? | The VA relaxed its positions somewhat on September 8, but as the articles explain there are still issues. Senators Dianne Feinstein and John Kerry have introduced the Veteran Voting Support Act (S. 3308) that would require the VA to allow nonpartisan voter registration drives and comply with states requests to the the VA to offer voter registration at its facilities. At a hearing on September 15, Paul Hutter (General Counsel of the VA) agreed to work with Feinstein and others on the wording of the legislation. |

Doesn't the Hatch Act state that you cannot carry on political activities in goverenment buildings, ie voter registration.
