I think Jon's upcoming appearance on Meet the Bloggers will certainly be a major opportunity to help get the word out. I will be using it as part of my pitch to Campus Progress and the Push Back blog network, but even more generally just spreading this video around should be a major benefit to this campaign.

I think the video will be particularly useful to engage student activists who are not used to checking blogs for their activism news. This is because the video can easily be spread through facebook, and convincing students to merely post the video on their facebook profiles will be a big benefit because it will show up in all of their friends' news feeds.

I have been working on a series of posts that will be published on my blog madprogress.com, Pushback.org, as well as the Oxdown Gazette. These posts will all contain information about what activists can do to help for this particular campaign, but they will also be discussing and launching a larger campaign that I have organized for Campus Progress. As part of this effort (entitled Beyond Iraq: A Time to Break Silence) I will be creating a facebook group page which can hopefully be utilized as a hub for students specifically interested in this project. I am making a hard sell to them, essentially saying that Martin Luther King would want them to do this work, but despite the importance of this work it will be very key to keep them engaged on the group page so they do not lose track of the campaign. Once I have that page up I will create a new thread discussing how we can reach new people through facebook and what we can do to ensure they remain involved with this project.
