Final Days Rapid Communication For Wiki Members And Interested ActivistsIn order to gather and distribute communication among the group, we have
set up a chat room with the "Chatterous" service. You can send/receive to this room via text messaging (for those in the field), email, instant messaging (google talk) or a web interface. This should provide quicker communication than the wiki discussion threads.
Here's what you need to know.
- Joining the room
- by web link invite: http://www.chatterous.com/landing/vs-wiki/femw3/
- by phone: text CHTR JOIN vs-wiki femw3 to 41411
- by email: @join femw3 in body to vs-wiki@chatterous.com
- by jabber/google talk: add vs-wiki@chatterous.com as a buddy and send @join femw3
- Sending and Receiving:
- email: vs-wiki@chatterous.com (note, your subject line will not come through)
- jabber/google talk: vs-wiki@chatterous.com
- phone: text CHTR vs-wiki <msg> to 41411.
- There is also an RSS feed of room activity.
- Useful commands
- by email
- @stop stops messages from the group.
- @go resumes messages from the group.
- by jabber/google talk
- @stop stops messages from the group.
- @go resumes messages from the group.
- by phone
- CHTR STOP vs-wiki stops messages from the group.
- CHTR GO vs-wiki resumes messages from the group.
- The room keeps a log of activity, so you don't need to be in it to benefit. This is an experiment! Hopefully it works.
